Buffalo Bill Cody

He was born as William Frederick Cody in February, 1826 in Scott County, Iowa. Served in the American Civil War, worked as U.S. army scout. From 1867 to 1868, he hunted and killed appr. 4,280 buffalo working with the government on U.S. expansion.He was a great shooter. Public interest encouraged him to put together a live wild west show. He died in 1917.
